This DIY rear bumper requires cutting and permanent modifications to your Land Cruiser or LX 450's frame. The crossmember gets deleted for a true, high-clearance bumper. 

We are excited to release our DIY 80 series and LX450 rear bumper DIY kit. Right now we are offering presale pricing for the first run of parts. Due to changes we are making after the first prototype, and manufacturing lead times, please expect around 6-8 weeks while we get everything ready. 

This bumper kit ships for free to your door if you are in the Continental USA, and prior to welding it weighs 77 pounds. This DIY kit has been designed in SOLIDWORKS and features "slot and tab" geometry to ensure proper fitment. The bumper is laser cut out of 7 gauge (.179) HRPO mild steel. Recovery points are in line, and tied into the frame ensuring strength. It utilizes 4 of the factory bolt points, and 4 more holes are drilled through the frame for a total of 8 mounting bolts. A recessed trailer receiver hitch, and a new tubular cross member that are both laser cut will be standard on all variants. The new tubular cross member welds directly to the frame, and the receiver hitch will then bolt to it. Allowing for the best combination of strength, and the option to remove the bumper with ease. 

Disclaimer: The bumper showed in the photos is the prototype and will look slightly different than the bumper you receive. The major difference is slimming up the wings to the body!

Variants: 

Flares: There will be two main Variants to chose from and sub categories for accessories. The flared version will look best with flares and is a couple inches wider than the no flared option. 

Cutouts:

Base bumper kit: This will include everything to make your DIY bumper. Recessed trailer hitch, recovery points, no light cutouts, no step cutouts on the wings. 

Light cutouts: This will have two square cutouts for reverse lights. I designed the cutouts around Auxbeam's 3.5 inch flush mount lights. 

Step cutouts: This will have cutouts on the wings to use as a step to reach the roof of your 80 series. The wings are tied directly into the frame to ensure strength. 

Swingouts: A swingout and dual swingout option will be available in the future. The swingouts will be a removable, bolt on assembly that can be installed anytime after the bumper is fabricated and coated.
